Badass Workshop - Professional Development
At the end of the last wedding season I made the trip down to Christchurch to be part of the 'Badass Workshop' run by Sarah Clements & Tegan Clark. It was a new idea, where like minded photographers came together to share photography skills & business tips whilst hanging out in a glorious setting & shooting a styled wedding together.
Professional development is such a key part of my job as a photographer. It can be a very lonely existence working long hours on a weekend & then being holed up in a dark room editing, whilst everyone else enjoys the summer holidays. Getting together with other photographers & listening to their knowledge & experience can really help you realise that actually, you're doing 'ok'. I love learning & practicing what I've learnt & this workshop was a great opportunity to trial lots of new tricks whilst meeting some new found friends & colleagues.
Community Over Competition
Thanks to the seriously talented & Tegan Clark Photography for organising this & To Twenty-four Catering Co for the amazing dinner.
