Alyssa & Sam
My last wedding of the season was nothing short of magnificent.
Sam & Alyssa came up from Wellington to be wed overlooking the sea at The Bungalow. We squeezed every last drop of sunshine into our photos! There is something really quite delicious about the golden tones after daylight savings.
Starting the day with some pampering at Cleaver & Rouge, the girls then moved onto getting dressed into simple, yet elegant Wedgewood blue skirts & singlets. Allie had chosen some beautiful blush pink shawls to keep them warm as the sun went down. Allie's lace dress was to die for & was finished off with rose gold shoes. The boys also went for some classy simplicity in blue suits & Sam wore his bowtie like a proper gentleman!
Their ceremony was perfect & the skies cleared as Sharren, the celebrant, had everyone laughing.
With the changes in daylight savings we managed to incorporate the sunset into our bridal party session & finished on the beach amid rich golden light that had everyone oohing & ahhing! It was certainly a race against time before it finally dipped out of sight & we ventured back up for the reception.
Sam thought Allie, being a doctor, would appreciate naming the tables after infectious diseases! Although I'm sure those placed on the 'cholera' & 'zika' tables felt a bit short changed compared to those on the 'common cold' table!!
Twinkling fairy lights, a scrummy looking cake & food, lots more laughing, drinking & dancing made the end of a beautiful day even more perfect.
Thank you to Coby for being my sidekick for the day.
